Blogs Making a Difference: The Yummy Year Project

Olivia Lin is the cook behind The Yummy Year Project, a blog that is spreading the joy of a full tummy.

Olivia’s goal is to raise $3.30 a day to provide support to the Ebongalethu Educare Center in Motherwell, South Africa. She’s trying 365 vegan recipes and blogging about it to help raise money. This year-to-date Olivia has raised $1,125.13 for kids in South Africa.

If you can’t tell by now, we’re totally blown away by how Olivia is using her blog for good. She’s got great photos and content (we’re totally loving these pumpkin and beer Movember cupcakes). Some other recipes we love:

Dill French Bread (Other Amy is obsessed with dill so we made this the other day)
Bagels and Hash Browns (the ultimate comfort food!)
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Monsters

So, here’s what we’re going to do: Olivia contributes $1.30/day to the pot, leaving $2 left to reach the day’s goal. We’re going to contribute another $1.30/day for the rest of the year.

What we want you to do:

• Head on over to The Yummy Year Project and leave Olivia lots of lovely comments

• Consider contributing 70 cents a day for the rest of the year to make sure the $3.30/day is met

Thanks everyone! :)
